Established in the year 2000, Slater's Chartered Accountants is a friendly firm built on traditional values. Stephen Slater qualified in 1990 and was a partner in a local firm of accountants for several years. Having taken the decision to head his own firm he has since brought to it Chartered Tax Status.

Although only established relatively recently, the amicable acquisition of AGB Smith and Son and J H Chester's means that the practice in its continuity has been serving business in the area for over 50 years. We specialise in dealing with all aspects of owner managed businesses and this expertise arises from the investment made in the right training for the right staff further supported by new technology and a forward thinking approach. It is our belief that all of our clients are important and all deserve a high quality of service. We do not select clients based on the level of their fees but feel that we as a team can offer a range of accountancy and taxation needs to suit any business, no matter how large or small, they are all important to us. Over 90% of our new work comes from recommendations.
